As I step into Kalamatas, the warm ambiance envelops me, setting the perfect stage for culinary exploration. The recently refurbished space radiates a contemporary vibe, marrying comfort with style, and it’s evident from the onset that this restaurant places a strong emphasis on both food and service.

When it comes to highlights, the falafel is a clear standout. Multiple guests have raved about its delightful crispness and robust flavor, with one enthusiastic diner proclaiming it among the best they've tried. For those seeking a lighter bite, the falafel salad is a must-try as well—one reviewer, Jennifer Rosolino von Stoops, astutely noted its generous portion, making it “basically two meals.”

Diving deeper into the menu, Kalamatas presents a symphony of dishes that celebrates Mediterranean heritage. From the creamy hummus to the soul-warming lentil soup, dishes are crafted with an attention to detail that elevates them beyond mere sustenance. The Chicken Gyro Sandwich and the much-loved lamb and rice plate receive glowing accolades from frequent diners, proving that Kalamatas not only preserves authentic flavors but also fosters a sense of nostalgia for loyal patrons.

What struck me particularly was the dedicated service. Staff members are attentive and genuinely friendly, making sure every culinary wish is catered to. Grace Miller’s experience, where a kind employee offered to deliver food directly to her table outside, exemplifies the thoughtful customer care that defines Kalamatas.

In addition to the savory offerings, a visit wouldn't be complete without indulging in dessert. The baklava has garnered praise for being incredibly indulgent, while the tiramisu creates a perfect sweet finish to a hearty meal, ensuring every visit is memorable.

Delicious falafel salad. It was basically two meals, it was fresh and flavorful, and it was exactly what I wanted. They have great healthy and tasty options. They refurbished the restaurant and it looks great.

Good spot for Mediterranean food and a quick lunch. Used to go to the location in Brentwood and the food here tastes the same. Good lentil soup and hummus. Many gluten-free options to choose from including quinoa tabouleh.

We have consistently had the best experience at this restaurant, from catering for a small group to take out orders. This is the best Mediterranean cuisine in Nashville.

We had the Chicken Gyro Sandwich and Falafel Sandwich with fries and the tomato soup - everything was delicious! Can’t miss the fries, they were sooo good. Service was fantastic and the space is really nice with a relaxing atmosphere. We will be back soon!

This restaurant is one of the best in all of Nashville. I have eaten there for at least 25 years. My kids also love it and it is their favorite restaurant. They love the lamb and rice plate. The staff also is friendly and always remembers to get them a spoon for their rice. (The spoon isn’t included with the knife, fork, and napkin on the place setting) Anyways great restaurant and I highly recommend it

The falafels were amazing! Probably some of the best falafels I've had! The grape leaves were equally amazing! Very happy with those two! The salmon salad special that I got wasn't bad, but I felt it was a little bit small for the price of 25. The tiramisu that we had was amazing! The atmosphere was relaxing, and the customer service was excellent! Overall, definitely recommend this place if you're in the mood for Mediterranean.

Incredible. I've been looking for good middle eastern food here in Nashville for four years. Being middle eastern myself, I'm very picky. The baklava was incredible as was the food. The restaurant was extremely clean and the staff was beyond kind. Well worth the hour drive.

If I could give more stars for all the above, food, service and atmosphere, I would. I went in and ordered the spinach pie plate, everything was so good. The lady working the register saw my hands were full and so she brought me my food outside where I sat. Cool vibe inside the restaurant too. Please stop in and give them a try if you like Greek food. The menu is posted in a picture on google.
